70 For A Day!

Okay so it is 70 today...Yippy! I insisted that we had to get out and do something outside so we decided on the zoo. I was thrilled that we could wear sandals....and nobody even complained about sunscreen applications. I think every family in Seattle had the same great idea to go to the zoo it was packed. We stood in line for 20 minutes lines just to get in....Dan tried to persuade us to leave but the boys and I were determined to be outside and to see some animals!

We were loving the sunshine and warmer weather but not all of the local's seemed to feel the same way.

Some funny comments we heard....

"Let's eat inside it is way too hot out here....plus he is getting too much sun exposure."
  • I was thinking.....he hasn't seen the sun in 6 months how can it be too much?!?! and how is 70 too hot?

In the rain forest exhibit where it was so nice and warm...we heard people saying...."it is boiling in here we have to get out of this place....."

  • I was just thinking it is perfect in here and going to seem cold once we get outside again.

So I have to ask myself again....what kind of place have we moved to???? The natives should all be settled tomorrow as it will be in the 50's and raining all week :) In fact looking at the weather it rarely gets out of the 60's until June. So at least I know some people are enjoying this "mild" weather!

We are going to the neighbors for smores tonight and counting the days until June/July/August!

The zoo seems to be a popular place lately. ;) Glad you got out and enjoyed your one day of 70. Too bad you couldn't bottle some of it for a rainy day.
