Dare we hope that summer may actually be coming to Seattle? It has been nearly a week since we have seen temperatures in the 50's. Most of this week has only been in the 60's but at least it has been warmer. The first few weeks of June we had hit the mark for average rain for the month and had temperatures colder than those in Siberia! We were all wondering if summer was coming to the northwest. My neighbor commented that we would have to install heat lamps on the street so the kids could play. We were all freezing and nearly at our wits end. I know we can send the kids out in the rain but sometimes it seems more work than it is worth....all the bundling then they get soaked you have to change clothes, clean shoes, clean the floor, etc.
We did have a beautiful day the last day Dan's family was in town. We went to a park next to Lake Washington and the kids had a blast splashing in the water.
So we are keeping our fingers crossed....and we are ready to be outside!
