Growing up

Today before Brennan was going to lie down for a nap he was cuddling with me.

Mommy "Are you my baby?"
Brennan "No."
Mommy a little shocked by his response "Really? Are you my big boy?"
Brennan "No. I am a Baby Big Boy."

I guess that is somewhere between a Baby and a Big Boy. I have to say my heart broke a little bit to hear him say this. I can see how much he is growing up which on one hand is great to have him a little more independent but on the other hand where did the time go and how did he get so big?

Our niece said something funny last month that it reminded me of.

Hanna "Look Daddy I can SNIP! I can't SNAP but I can SNIP!" She coudn't quite snap and had decided that a snip was somewhere in between.
