Well just for my Seattle Native friends out there I must write and say that we had a much better than anticipated October! Compared to last October it was leaps and bounds better.
Sunny days far outnumbered rainy days and most days were in the 60's so we could be outside riding bikes and playing with the neighborhood kids. It was great! The leaves were beautiful the air was crisp and really if I could pick a perfect fall that would be it. Brennan loved that he was able to still pick blackberries from the bushes our daily routine was to walk Connor to the bus and on the way back we would pick berries and he would eat tons of them!
Now I will say that according to the weather reports it was an unusual October but that is okay we will take it. I am still not ready to raise my expectations nor am I convinced that Seattle weather is as wonderful as people keep telling me but I am thrilled that we had so many "bonus" days.
The few rainy days we had in October did remind why I will be shortly losing my mind. 3 boys 5 and under in a 1700 square foot house is not a good mix. We already have one broken wine glass because of a ball incident so who knows what will be next!
Since November hit we have been paying for the above average weather. I saw a few nights ago that we were already 3-4 inches over the normal rain for November! So in the countdown we only have 240 days left!
