Welcome to Not Me! Monday!
I saw a link to pray for Baby Stellan a few weeks ago on a friend’s blog. I was curious and started reading. I was hooked and we started praying for Baby Stellan who was at the time in the hospital due to heart complications. So for the past few weeks we have been following this little miracle baby and reading his updates.
His mom writes a really funny post called “Not Me Monday”. So here goes my first my honest “Not Me Monday” Post. This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
So here it goes....my first NOT ME post! Being brutally honest and living to tell about it :)
- I would never sit and hold my sleeping baby during his nap times because I think he is growing up too fast and I love to watch his sweet face and listen to him breathe. I have a million things that I should be doing while he is sleeping and every good mother knows that they need to sleep in their crib for naps. So I would never hold him during nap times. Nope not me!
- I would never allow my 3 year old to have chocolate milk for breakfast everyday last week (even if it is Ovaltine and has more vitamins). Every good mother knows that it has more sugar and they should learn to drink plain milk and they should not drink chocolate milk for breakfast. So no it was not me who would allow her child to do that.
- I did not bring my Kindergarten student 30 minutes late to school one day last week because I drove an hour north to the tulip fields to get a cute kid picture with all of the flowers. I did not try to go a different road back from the tulip festival and get a little lost. Nope not me.
- I would never show my 3 and 6 year old the ugly faces they were making during the photo shoot, threaten them to only hang up pictures of Kellen because he is the only one I can find nice pictures of, and then make them promise that they would smile or at least try and not look so miserable for all future photo shoots. Not me!
- I did not allow my child to have 2 pieces of cake at a birthday party yesterday. Not me!
- I did not give my baby a pen to play with last week and that baby surely did not write all over his stomach with that pen. If my baby did find a pen and then write on himself with that pen...I would (of course) wash it off immediately. I did not let him crawl around the remainder of the morning with pen marks on his stomach and then get him dressed without washing it off. I did not briefly think of telling his daddy that his older brothers gave him the pen when he got him ready for bed that night or act shocked when he asked why he had pen marks all over his stomach. Oh.....and my baby was not crawling around in only his diaper when I didn't give him the pen with which he did not write all over his stomach with because I always get him dressed right away. WHEW.....good thing I didn't do all of that!
- I did not feel like an inadequate mommy because my 3.5 year old is not potty trained. I did not threaten to send all of the “potty prizes” to our neighbors house since he is just barely 2 years old and now instantly potty trained (that would just be mean). I did not secretly wish that I could send my 3.5 year old to my neighbors house so he could maybe be potty trained. Not me!
- I did not allow my Kindergarten student to miss the bus today and have to drive him to school because I lost track of time while working on this blog post and holding a sleeping baby. Not me!
- Oh and my baby is NOT turning 1 year old next week!

So glad you joined MckMama and are now in on the fun! Maybe I'll decide to join in the fun too---if I can decide to be brutally honest!! I LOVED this post--it made me laugh out loud!!
I don't know if I'm ready to post :-) but I thought I was the only 'not me' mamma! Thanks for sharing.
