Kellen is our little sugar baby. I should have known I was in trouble when he got into peeps and marshmallows both times he was shoving in as many as he could before I found him. Pretty sure he was thinking this is good stuff and mommy is going to take this away if she finds me. Really he has a sweet tooth like nothing I have ever seen.
Connor had very little candy when he was 1. Brennan maybe had a little more. With Kellen it is all out the window....if the big boys have it then he wants it! Once he had a taste for it there is no going back.
At Christmas as we were opening stockings he was finding all the candy and shoving it in as fast as possible. Finally we got smart and hid all the candy. The next thing we know he walks out of a room with a blow pop in his mouth. We have no idea where he even found it. We didn't even have blow pops in the stockings-I guess he had a direct line to Santa that we didn't know about! I am pretty sure he can sniff out candy and/or sugar. When we are in Costco and they are sampling something sweet he will practically jump out of the cart to get to it.
When we do give him a little candy he keeps asking for more. After a couple bites I will tell him "this is the last one Kellen...we are all done." He looks at you with the sweetest eyes and says, "otay". Then as soon as it is gone he is back asking for more.
Today he found a pack of Tic Tacs in my bag so excited he came over asking for some. I gave him a couple and then said we were all done. "Otey" was his response. He came back a few minutes later with the sweetest eyes....just looking at the box of Tic Tacs. I said we are all done. He started laughing then he slowly started moving back to the bag where he found the tic tacs. Very slowly he started looking for something else. I asked him what he was doing and he started laughing and brought me a toy lion. Yeah I am sure that is exactly what he was looking for :)
I am now brushing his teeth a little longer at night....hoping they won't all be rotted out by the time he is 3!

Don't tell Tony, but right now Eleanor is eating a dark chocolate and blueberries candy bar that she liberated from my bag. I just wanted to catch up on Internet life for a minute...
